Award of Excellence

This award is to honor SBBA members who are owners or managers or a non-member who has made a significant contribution to the breed. Nominations may be made by owners or managers and you can nominate anyone who you feel is deserving. A typical nominee might be a SBBA member who has worked very hard over the years for SBBA or someone who is well known for lending other breeders a helping hand or someone from academia who has done important research.

It is only presented to someone who will come to the presentation at the SBBA banquet. We will tell the person they are to receive the award and get bio data from them. Only two awards of excellence are presented in any one year. If more than two are nominated and all are deserving—there is always next year.

Achievement Award

This award is for members of your staff. The award might be presented to a staff member who, as a result of their service, has made a significant contribution to your organization. It also could be used to honor someone who has done something on a one time basis that resulted in good public relations for your organization or for the Brangus breed: such as some sort of community service or act of heroism. Only the owner or manager of an organization can make this nomination. If an award is to be presented, we do not tell the person receiving the award. If you wish to tell them, you may or it can be a surprise.
